Seduced by Innocence (The Seduced Saga, Book 1 of Rose's Trilogy) - Karpov Kinrade Read this review and more at www.tattooedbookreview.com.I rarely go into things like cover, etc. I prefer to focus on the story. That being said, I have to mention that this book (I read the kindle version) is visually beautiful to read, and I will admit that it added to my enjoyment of the reading experience. Each chapter begins with a small illustration representing the character narrating the chapter, and a Shakespeare quote that relates to that part of the story. These little touches combine seamlessly with the author’s gorgeous prose, including Rose’s emotional diary entries.I was drawn into Kinrade’s world of the paranormal: lust, greed, and betrayal combine with friendship, love, and loyalty to create an engaging tale of witches and shifters. My heart broke for Rose as she struggles with her dark gift, a gift that she sees as curse, and has kept her isolated. My heart soared for her when she was finally able to find someone she connects with, but I held my breath, knowing that their tenuous relationship was destined to come crashing down around them. The story is extremely emotional, sexy, and sensual, with a bit of humor, action, and intrigue added in the mix. Derek is a great alpha-male, and I fell for him along with Rose. I fear their powerful attraction is not enough, and I am desperate to read the next book in the series and find out what fate has in store for these two!“We witnessed each other, and isn’t that what relationship is about? Bearing witness to one another, witnessing and being witnessed so that our acts of love, passion, kindness, adventure… all the moments that make us human, so that these acts have meaning and memory beyond ourselves? Whatever else happens, he will forever know me, and I will forever know him.”*I received a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
